A veces nos encontramos que las piezas de una maqueta que simulan la textura de la madera no resultan lo sufucientemente realista, sustituirla por madera natural es de lo más sencillo.
Working with real wood will add your model a better look as many times the plastic parts are not realistic enough
Choosing the correct wood to work is essential, if the grain is too rough it won´t mach the scale. In this Marines´Sherman I fixed the wood pieces with ciano glue.
To imitate the rivets I used stretched sprue fixed to the model through some little holes drilled with the power tool.
With a heat source I melt the plastic extreme until it adopted a round aspect.
Sanding the bolts head I transformed them in bolts with their correspondent washers and nuts, these last ones came from a photoetched set.
Painting the wood pices is not problem at all, in this case I didn´t use any primer, just painted all together.
